Hi everyone! First time diesel owner and loving it. Picked up my DMax 2 weeks ago and no problems. The only thing I've come across is my drivers side seat moves to the "Exit" position whenever I unlock the truck with the FOB. Anyone heard of this? Also, it seems my mirrors don't adjust for each driver. What gives? Don't want to go to the dealer just yet, wanted to see if anyone here has any suggestions.

You can set up the Driver Information Center to adjust for each driver. All of your issues that you mentioned can be controled from there. It sounds like you have the easy exit seating turned on.

(This assumes you have eletric adjustable seats & a Driver Information Center) There should also be a memory adustment for 2 differnt drivers. The owners maual covers this in pretty good detail. Don't remember the section, look it up in the index/appendix at the back.

Thanks for the reply. I just checked and the exit feature is turned off. Still happening. It worked fine a couple of days ago, it just started doing this. Might be a glitch in the computer. The memory mirror function hasn't worked from day 1.

There are settings for each key remote. Make sure that you unlock the truck using the remote, then look through the settings in the DIC. I fought this for the first 2 weeks I had my truck till I had everything set.
If you are using the #1 remote, look on the back of the remote to determine number.
Set your seat like you want it, then press and hold the #1 button on the driver's door until it beeps.
If you use the other key remote to unlock the doors, the seat will adjust to that remote's settings.
I learned not to let my wife unlock the truck with her remote when I am driving as I don't like having my knees pushed up into my chest

And even then, you may have "glitches" now and then. I was out of town with the truck and my wife's fob was a good distance down the interstate, but lo and behold, the gremlin in the computer loved "adjusting" my seat now and then to some strange position in between mine & my wife's just to see if I'd notice.

dirty rotten gremlins! ;)

As for the mirror's adjusting it depends on which mirrors you have on your truck. If you have the electric extending mirrors you don't get the automatic mirror adjustment, nor do you get the backup mirror adjustment.

DieselDixon, that's what I was looking for. I have the trailer mirrors that extend out. I guess then the mirrors don't adjust for the personalized settings. You'd think for 40K they could at least do that. I guess as long as that's my only "complaint" we have it good. Nothing else to worry about, so I shouldn't sweat the small stuff! As for the seats, they are back to normal. Must've been a "glitch". Thanks all for the info!

I had the same type of thing happen to me about three weeks after I bought my truck. The driver 1 setting and the easy exit setting flip-flopped. How, I may never know. After playing with it for a bit (the seat memory), I found that the easy exit can be set the same way 1&2 can. Since I reset it back I've had no trouble with it.

Don't go there with the $40k thing. I still can't believe they didn't put a light under the hood!

I have an LS truck with the Driver Info Center and electric seat adjustment, but I don't have memory seats. Is that just an LT option or something?
