View Full Version : New driveline shorter?
I just got my CC SB 4X4 Dmax back after having the 1 piece driveline insatlled. It seems to be shorter. The slip yoke is out farther, about 2 1/2" exposed from outside lip of seal on the rear of the T-case. I think it was closer before. Anybody know if this is normal? Is it a different yoke all together? How much is left in the T-case? Thanks for any input- better safe than soory.

Sounds OK to me. I bet that the distance will close if you loaded the truck heavily and compressed the springs. Add in axle wrap-up during braking and accelleration and I think that is probably a safe margin.

It is normal (at least on all the updated trucks I've seen or done), and the whole assembly is new; driveshaft, yoke, and both u-joints.
