I just watched the video clip posted as a link in another thread where a Dmax whipped up on a Mustang and I'd like to move mine in that direction but I haven't completely grasped the concept of stacking. I've seen many threads that refer to different stacks but I haven't seen one that explains the concept. Would a stacked veteran mind documenting the concept for me, I'd like some directions before I get lost! Thanks!

D'Max_2_DA_Max,

Stacking is when you take a programmer like the Predator, Superchip, Hypertech etc and combine in with a plug in box like the Juice, Van Aiken, BD etc.

Any combo of any or all of these combined on the same truck is stacking.

Up here in the North East we have met up for two seperate CT Dyno Day's for DP members ( I missed the most recent one ) to baseline trucks and try out different programmers and boxes.

We have found that Edge puts down the best HP and Torque out of all the one's we have tried and we have tried most of them.

I personally run as do others in CT an HOT JUICE stacked with a VA Fuel Pressure box with the Predator for top speed limiter and tire reflash.

Although the Predator is good for nice black smoke  tongue.gif it can cause a limp in OD when running a Hot Juice if you are pushing hard.

I'm next to positive M. Tomac isn't stacked for that run ...

Just get yourself a HOT Juice Box by Edge and you can whoop up on a whole lot of individuals ...

Stacking is not for all .... There can and more then likely be irreversible damage to drivetrain . Not trying to sway you but just so you know your crossing a boundary ....

Be prepared to do some upgrading to the Allison or don't bother .... Once you unleash the gains very difficult to go back, as I'm now a junkie of sorts ...

One has to be careful not to stack and gain to much timing .... Everyone has found the Predator and Juice stack and work but, everyone has had shift issue .... All be it limp and or neutral zings, to absurd shifts ...

Best stack is with a box that will raise fuel rail pressure with a pulse type box as the Juice ... Old BD, Van Aaken or Duramaximizer ...

Again tread lightly be prepared to spend some cash down the road in way of Transmission mods ...Watch EGT's ..

I'm no veteran, this is just some observations ...

I was just running the Hot Juice for the Mustang kill. However, since then I've acquired a couple different comp boxes and have an ATS level 3 in route, hope to have it installed Monday. Then I'll be able to really put a whooping on the Mustangs.
