I found a sight www.6.5Ldiesel.com (http://www.6.5Ldiesel.com) with what seem to be good prices. Anyone used them or heard anything about them?

Are you sure you posted the correct link to the website you wanted to show?
I clicked on it and I get a porn site...

Boy I didn't read the second post untill it was to late. Things were poping up faster than I could get rid of them. Please edit your post and remove the link before someone else does the same thing.

You got a "drop-in" engine for $3000? Where? What is the warranty?

To me drop in means ready to run out of the box. Call AVANT and get an honest answer and check out the DP advertisers they are all about the same. I was real tempted to click the first link but I better not get my computer marked up, better half may not revoke my DP rights!

Read their page very carefully. No were does it say rebuilt or remanufactured. It does say they have all original parts. I would assume these are salvage engines that have had a good steam cleaning and a bench test. Brooklyn is just the place were you can find a good deal.

Hey guys a little off topic but how much time is required to remove and install a complete "drop-in" engine? thanks

The link works fine for me dunno. Its alot of money because you get a new turbo and ALL not just the engine. The engine is only $1800-$2400 looks like. I would ask them what they are the pics dont like clean and sell.

As for the Porn Link. If your linking to a porn site, you can bet the farm that you've got a virus/worm/bug in your computer. I'd advise that you do an indepth virus scan and read up on viruses at one of the virus program websites.

It's not a virus thing here. Originally, a typo in the link was the problem. Looks like it has been edited. It is correct now, but before, it would link to a porn site, like it should have (the url was correct for the site).

I'd like to buy from Avant or Peninsular but they are a long way from the Northwest. It's hard to feel comfortable buying from a place so far away I know I will never darken the door and the core return is a factor. Maybe it's the best thing anyway, I don't know. The local mechanics sure don't like the idea.
