Bilstien Shocks for 2003

I want to replace my factory shocks with Bilstiens. I did a search and found that seveal folks on the DP also went w/Bilstiens. Those w/2001 and 2002 2500HD's were using part #'s BE5 6801 HO (front) and BE5 6802 HO (rear). Anyone know if these are the same #'s for 2003's..?

You guys who went with the Bilstiens, are you still satisfied..?

Not sure if the 03's use the same P/N, check w/JK. My guess would be yes. Big improvement over stock on the ride quality. I should have done it sooner.

Put on a set bilstiens on a year ago and I'm
totally satisfied. The sad part is that it does'nt
take much to out-do the oem shocks. Best thing I
ever did to my truck...

The 03's are the same. See pict below ... I'm selling a set with less then 500 miles as I had the truck lifted about a week after installing the Bilsteins. Also running Bilsteins with the lift ... just a longer shock.

Yo Simity Sam shipped me a set for my 03'.... No more qui-pow! dumpud! reaction, re-reaction, reaction, sag anymore. The shocks cut the edge off the bumps! No kidding! The bump is still there but the square edged ones are no longer neck breakers. I should have had a set on my 02'.... but the 03 does very well. I don't know about the other fells but, my truck handles much better in the twisty's. Having pulled over 10 tons, that's 20,000 lbs, off the rear bumper...... they really do help..... I mean help. The old shocks had "wayyyyy" too much reaction or give. :eek: The "B's" really work, no kidding. Buy them from a TDP support person.... Like JK.

My oem's petered out at 60,000 miles, limp as a noodle and leaking oil. My brother, who was a field engineer in air brakes (now retired)found one of his distributers had shocks to fit my 2001HD and sent me a set. They were Rancho's, after installing I thought I had a brand new truck, didn't know how bad the oem's were until I installed aftermarket shocks, the difference is night and day. You know what was the best thing, they were FREEEEEE!

Is it possible that mine are going away at 40k miles? The rear seems a bit more bouncy than normal. Of the 40k miles, probably 30k has been towing a 10k# tag trailer.

Are the "B"'s the recommended shock for a 3500 as well?
