Well after 6 months, 10 days, 4 hours, 5 minutes and 22.5 seconds I will be taking possession of a new 2002 GMC 3500 EC 2wd Duramax/Allison on Wednesday 29 May,2002. Looking forward to driving it and towing my 5th wheel. With all the comments in all the post on The Diesel page, I'm sure it will be an experience and much fun. Will give impressions after some miles behind the wheel. Should tow , drive and run nicer and quieter than my 75 dually with a 4 banger under the hood.
Thanks for all of the insights and information from those who contribute and to those who manage this site.

How do you guys find your trucks in the winter up,and over there? White, you should get "BLACK",you could warm your feet and hands on them on a cold day ..... I know why you don't get "YELLOW" ...... Reminds you of what the sled dogs do ..... Do you have to tie poles on them with "ORANGE" flags on them like tourist riding bikes in a strange area ......."THERE IT IS," everyone yells at the shopping mall ..... Just wondering . Won't know less you ask ....... tongue.gif tongue.gif

MAC :D :D

Well I made it to Portland this morning. Am at my son's now. Truck runs great. Still have tread on tires after 2500 miles. No oil use, trans shifting fine. I think I hear the tick, but not sure. Seems to have a rather heavy diesel clatter when in a pull going up hills.
Getting truck serviced in Portland. Trans, diff, eng + filters.
Yes the truck is white, not by choice but necessity.
(if I wanted one, this was it).GMC 3500 EC, charcoal interior, all options but power lumbar, heated seats.
More when I arrive in Anchorage
