Kelderman has a new rear air ride system for the 2500 CC short bed (and for the 3500 too). I sent for a brochure and it looks really interesting. It has two big bags and mounts across the back of the truck from rear shackle mount to year shackle mount and includes a 10000# rear hitch. The whole thing weights 175 - 200#. They say you get 3 - 4" of air bag ride. The rear spring attaches to the bag unit. It doesn't carry any more weight but they say it substantially improves the ride, especially when empty. It sell for $849 for the 2500 and the 3500, not including the compresser system. You can call them for a brochure 800 334 6150 or check on line a keldermanmfg.com. I have been in a 3500 that had one and it was MUCH improved. I had called them but they didn't have a short bed unit available at that time. I haven't ordered one yet, still working on the Juice and an exhaust system but might go there when I get those bits and pieces paid for.

Good luck,
Bob

had air bags (with one rear leaf spring removed) installed on my 3500, coupled with the addition of Bilstein shocks, made a tremendous positive improvement in the ride of my truck .... Jim

I know Firestone`s Ride-Rite is more of a helper type setup. But it may help you out. and it is only $200 and something.

Mike,

Thanks, I've got the Firestones on now. I would like to create a smoother ride when empty. The Kelderman doesn't carry more load, like the firestones do just creat a much better ride.

Regards,
Bob
