A favorite quote of mine is "We are all fools, only in different ways" (Will Rogers). I don't feel comfortable with my mechanical skills, so I need a good 4x4 shop in the Tampa/Brandon, FL area. Areas I could use help with:
1) Torsion bar adjustment then alignment. I'm guessing that my front end is about 1" to 1.5" too low.
2) Help with selection and mounting of larger wheels/tires. Must be able to match and balance tires to the wheel (not just slap some rubber on a wheel and load it with lead). Previous experience mounting 265's (or so) on a 2005 Chevy 2500HD is a plus (and getting them to fully clear). Previous experience using a 'tuner' to modify tire size in the truck computer (to correct speedo/odo) and I offer my daughter's hand in marriage.
If any of you know of a reputable shop in my area, please let me know. I'm not trying to turn this into a hot rod or a monster truck. I just need some help getting better tires on this thing... I need a shop that really knows what they're talking about...
thanks bunch
