I just picked up an 05 3 weeks ago, had an 03 before. Ive noticed that when coasting in traffic and in 2nd or 3rd gear and then I start accelerating the Torque conveter locks up much harder than the 03. RPM's come up to about 1200-1400 (Depending on how hard I push down)and when the converter locks up you know it. The 03 was much softer and smoother.
Anyone experience this with the new LLY/DA combo?

My 01' has done this in first gear when I'm slowing down for a stop or almost stopped, but then start to accelerate again. Not very comfortable for the passengers, but its better than walking. ;)

I did notice that when towing it goes away, so I figured it was just one of the intricacies of the trans/converter combination. Never really looked into it.

In normal (non TH) mode the TCC does not lock untoil approx 53 mph. Watch it once driving leisurely.

Have the same issue with the 04 hi output in all gears. roughly 800 rpm drop when decelerating, then it winds up and slams into gear (harder if I get on it). Not only is it uncomfortable but seems like it will play heck on the drive train over time.

Also seems inconsistent when shifting at low speeds.
