I've run out of fuel on inclines on two occasions. Once going up hill and once on the down slope. Both involved stopping for a minute or so on a steep slope and then driving a short distance (100 yards or so) and turning off the ignition. Truck would not restart without priming the fuel filters. In both cases, had quarter of a tank. I suspect that the fuel intake at the tank isn't designed to deal with such situations.
I don't know if the truck would have stalled if I had let it run for a few more minutes once I was leveled out and before turning of the ignition.
Are there any suggestions (other than the obvious...don't hang around steep hills without a full tank)?
