Which shift kit and deep pan?

Who makes the best, most complete shift kit? Is the trans-go one any good?


Is the Hughes pan any good?

The TransGo in one form or another is used by a couple of the performance Allison vendors, so it must be working for them.

Deep pans.... I wonder about the necessity. If you are experiencing a trans temperature issue, then a deep pan might be a good idea. The Allison already holds 22 quarts. Even while towing in 100+ temps, I've not seen mine go above 210. This was while towing up a steep slow grade between Deadwood, SD and Mount Rushmore without using Tow/Haul in traffic. I suspect if I'd been using T/H, the temps would have been lower.

Mag HyTek, BD and others offer a deep pan.
