I'm sure as in any new release they will have their bugs to work out. Seems matter how much testing they do , they get out to the public and
many new issues arrive. I don't think the Duramax
gets the mileage that was anticipated..

Is this a Navastar engine,Ford,Benz or what?

Ford has little track record on diesel engines of thier own and we know GM`s track record on thier own diesel er, coverted gasser (not good).

Ah, some of those aluminum head Escorts were pretty good.. :D

It's pur Navistar and you can be pretty sure it will be a good one.

Neither Ford, Dodge or GM makes their own diesel engines.

I really don't understand why they don't or can't. John Deer has recently designed a brand new clean sheet line of small industrial diesel engines that will compete with the overseas diesels like Mitsu, Yanamar and Kabota. The engines are American designed and built. (Probably some foreign parts).

JD uses Yanmar stuff right now in the small equipment..and have for years..

I may have to trade for a Ford if they never get my steering rattle fixed..

And take thousands of dollars in losses over a steering rattle? I'd save myself a few thousand and get it fixed with a little persuasion or a different service dept.

I aint gonna trade..I did get a call from Detroit today some gal that work for GM..I was out and will try and get ahold of her in the next day or so..Phone tag stuff..

Maybe I will get some satisfaction afterall..

I called the dealer today and he said the parts havn`t showed up yet..So I ordered the bearing myself today and they showed the wharehouse had many of them on hand..I should have it in the next day or two...

I get the feeling some heads are gonna roll..
