View Full Version : Got me a Ford Diesel
Had it since early this year. I just got around to taking some pictures of it.
It's a 73 Ford diesel 4500 Industrial TLB.
I use it for anything that takes more than a few shovels full.

Hoot,
They are fun aren't they? My dad just picked one up this summer also. Looks about the same size, it's a 3500A International(late '70s) TLB 4 cyl diesel. Has ROPS but not enclosed like yours.

Mic,
Is that a Boomer? I was looking at those. Nice tractors.
I moved to this new house with 3 1/2 acres of trees and stream. Lot's of ideas.
This Spring I used it to put in a crapload of canna lillies. The first time my neigbor saw me I told him it was my garden tractor and I was putting in some lillies. He got a kick out of that.
I bought it cause it was a great deal. Everything works, heat and all. Hours are in the 7000 range, tires are excellent.
I plan on digging a deeper and wider hole at this small dam in my stream so it can hold afew more fish. Also have a decorative pond on the list up closer to the house.
Here's my place....

Yes it's a Boomer series.
Love it! 25hp diesel but it feels like it has bigger cahonas than that.

Kool!!! I got my Perkins diesel a few months back in the form of a '95 75hp JCB 214E with 2200 hours on it. Sure wish it had the cab enclosures like Hoots.
Now if I could just get it back from my brother and get it to the ranch property so I can play with it.
Have had 2 haulers turn me down or price themselves way too high to move it.
So considering rigging the INDI-GO and using it and buying a trailer. Trailer Wheel and Frame here in Houston will build me a gooseneck low boy type trailer with 3 - 7,000# axels that will carry the load.
But from all I have read on this and an RV site, I may be slightly over GCVW of the D/A and have been trying to figure that out.
And then I see a Chevy commercial on TV with a 2500hd pulling a rig that looks like what I would be pulling. More confusion.
Funny, one guy offered to move it for me for $500 and then called back and declined saying that it would be too squirrely behind his Dodge Dually diesel. Interesting huh?

I was lucky enough to have purchased mine close enough to drive it home! About four miles on back roads.
