cat diesel in a tundra

a friend at work told me he read that toyota is going with a cat diesel in the tundra next year. anyone hear of this?

I find it as unlikely because Toyota makes their own diesels for the overseas markets.

I'd find it highly unlikely. First, as mentioned, Toyota produces their own diesels for just about every market EXCEPT the U.S. Second, the reason I've heard that you don't find a CAT in pickups is that CAT does not want to have the pickup dealers working on their engines and they also don't want pickups in the CAT dealers. Not sure the veracity behind that rumor, though.
