View Full Version : Towing Question
As much as I would like to keep my 88 K2500, but my father-inlaw has never had a big truck and I'll be taking it down in a month or so. The question is how to get it there.
Nothern Virginia to Nashville TN.
1. Drive, two drivers, no sharing
2. Tow on a trailer, rental cost and return.
3. Use a dolly, rental cost and return.
Recommendations?

Why not just drive it as long as it can make the trip. smile.gif
Towing when you don't really need to tow always adds the possibility of a mishap, in my mind.

looks like you can fly back for about $350 how about buying a trailer and selling it when you get back. Better yet se if you can put an add in for a trailer down there for the same price you can buy one for in your area.
Yeah, Jake- If you can drive the truck down to Nashville and fly back to Dulles Intn'l, it looks like the flight home will cost between $220 and $380.
The $220 flight takes all day- with layovers at Charlotte, Raleigh, and Atlanta. 10 hrs total trip to Dulles. Yuk.
The $380 flight is non-stop. @2 hrs.
