I live in Troy, NY, in NY's Capital District.
Over the past three years, I have had excellent results from two Hess stations:
1. on US4, just across the Hwy 378 bridge from I-787 (exit 7), and
2. on Wolf Road, between I-87 exits 5 and 6.
Both of these stations have prices that are near, but not at, the lowest around, and I have NEVER had any fuel-related problems, winter or summer, in nearly 50,000 miles of driving with fuel from them.
On the negative side, I would avoid the "USA Gas" station on NY 7 east of Troy. One bad tank of fuel from them was one too many for me.
