I just read a post that mentioned someone knowing someone that was an enginer who worked on the 6.2. It would sure make for some interesting reading on the design and evolution of the 6.5, 6.2 and the dmax especialy from the people who made them. Every one here tells me that the dmax is exclusively and isuzu design, but it has a deep skirted block just like GM's new line of truck engines hmmmm.

I have a Duramax. From what I have read and been told, the Duramax is a "joint" venture between the engineers in Isuzu and GM. It does have several "American-GM" traits to it. I 'think' that, until very recently, US engines were the only 90
