HI I NEW AND I GOT SOMETHING A BIT DIFFERENT FORM THE GENERAL VEHICLES ON THIS SITE. GOT A 1988 6.5L DIESEL TH400 AUTO WITH A ALUMIN UCBC STEP VAN BODY, 2.5 TON SUSPENSION. 1850LB HYD LIFT GATE. WELL I INTERESTED IN SOME MODS. NP205 TRNFER CASE AND FRONT AXLES TO GO4X4 ON THIS PUPPY. WHAT KIND OF MANUAL TRANS MISSION CAN I SUBSTITUTE FOR WHAT I GOT? LIKE BOLT RIGHT UP THANKS

Here is another Diesel that may be in your future. I was watching MotorWeek and VW is supposed to be coming out with a SUV that is supposed to also have a Diesel option. They did not give any specs though.
The VW SUV is the Touareg. They've been going back and forth as to wether the diesel will be available this year or not. The diesel is a 5 liter V10 bi-turbo making 313hp and 550 ft-lbs of torque. Check it out at www.vwvortex.com.
