After installing a bank of rocker switches in the factory tape player location a few months ago, I decided I wanted to use the tape player space for addtional electronics.

So, where do I put the switches? Almost gave up on the idea, and came up with using the "slotted" area on the cupholder insert.

I like the switches facing toward the front of the truck, but will see if they interfere with access to the CD storage area.

mdrag......

What happens when have to hit the brakes
hard and your Big Slurpee sloshes into the switches?? Will this blow up the truck?

Me..... I prefer to cover up the holes with
non conducting vinyl :D

I guess that there's no "Open Container" laws in OK. :D

Nice job!! Sooner or later you will run out of space or gvw. to add accessories.

What do the switches control?

56Nomad,

I'll see how the Big Slurpee surprise goes...there are always waterproof switches..

IndigoDually,

OK does have an open container law but it does not apply inside my shop... :D

AlaskaDmax,

Switches are as follows (in no particular order):

1)Dome light ON/OFF . The dome light override switch on the dash would not shut off the dome light after alarm install...this was the easiest solution. All the running board lights and the lights in the bed come on with the dome light, and I shut them off while working on the truck.
2)High idle - with RED/AMBER inserts
3)Switched power for power inverter + accessories hidden in center console
4)ON/OFF for SPA DG-111 gauge so settings could be changed without cycling the ignition power
5)PIAA 80 Pro XT driving lights (PIAA 959 fogs are wired using the OEM fog light switch)
6)BLANK - for now

Sherriff Bob says, "Don't drink and drive, you might spill your drink". As usual mdrag, a top notch set up.

LA DMAX,

Thanks for the compliment. I agree with Sheriff Bob, and I wouldn't think of drinking and driving. I wasn't driving... :D

As usual, a nice looking setup from mdrag.

I have a question for you, and I would have e-mailed it if I could have found your e-mail address. But anyways, I was wondering if the pictures you have on your site of the exhaust is blocked for a reason. I was just kind of curious about the pictures because of the mention of 5" in the heading.... LOL

Don't have to answer me, but I just wanted to see them and figured I would ask.

Kansas Kid,

Nothing interesting anyway - just some pics of bent up pipe of various lenghts and diameters.... ;) :D

Not quite ready - still working on it.

OK, since you keep bugging me ;)

I guess one pic wouldn't hurt anything...

That's a six inch rule - about 'average' length for a measuring device... :D

BTW, PictureTrail has just changed their policy - now it will be $19.95 year for 50 MB storage/Premium Account. If you have fewer than 36pics/20 MB - it is still a free service - Basic Account. :(

Hmmm, I wonder what that stuff would look like when it showed up on someones doorstep? I know when my 3.5" exhaust system showed up it seemed huge just sitting there waiting to go on the truck.

I almost think my dog could get lost in that muffler.... lol
