Has anyone used the 265-75 R16, Workhorse Extra Grips? How much are they? What is the ride like? And any other comments

I like them. For the money, they wear good (35,000 +), they are have a good traction pattern, they do not throw rocks too bad for an open tire, and the best part- they are quiet on the highway. They are good in snow, good in mud, and they will not chunk out if you drive lots of gravel.

Prices around here are about $125 each, on the truck.

Michelins are nice, but sometimes the $160+ price tag is a little hard to swallow, especially for us northerners who prefer to have new or newer tires on to sucessfully deal with the heavy-duty winter months.....

^...SoMN, I whole heartedly see your point. Dang it, how in the world do ya' put up with that northern tier climate???... Brrrrrrr....

The Michelins are worth every penny.
Superior ride and one of the longest wearing.
I've gone through a lot of tires in this size range and have found the Michelins to be the best.

I've gotten 70K+ out of Michelin LTX/MS in two previous applications. I'm running the 265/75 on the D/A now. About $ 175.00 installed, great ride + great grip = great value IMHO. :D

RustyR.......I see in your brag list that you have the Kaydenco flaps. Have a look-see at the new flaps they sent me. Click in my sig line. Look for the pic with engraving. No big deal, just a change for them.

TOYO AT's are also worth every penny.
Superior ride and one of the longest wearing.
I have used a lot of tires over the years and have found the TOYO's to be the best. Jim

Michelin seem to be the only tire which is round all others I've experienced I could'nt wait to replace them. In days gone by I had a 65 VW bug with Michelins, when I got 150,000 miles on them I had to throw them out only because they had weather checked so bad I did'nt trust them anymore. Although I have to say that the Bridgestones on the DMax are not bad so far as roundness goes. I haven't wished them replaced with 11000 MI. on them. Stu

The California Highway Patrol uses Goodyear workhorse extra grip when they need snow grip.

I like the Sport King AT's. I put them on my 2500HD. They are made by BFG and look identical to BFG AT. I can get them at wholesale for $88 each. They last 60,000 with rotations. I am puting the 235's on my 3500 when my currents wear out. They are RWL also if you like white letters.

I have a set of the 235/75/R15s on my 2wd S-10. Its gotten me through some very rough spots, and has seen highway speeds of up to 118 with no problems. I've put 8k on them and can't see much if any wear. Michelins are nice, way overpriced though. Plus they're not agressive enough. Bought 2 used 235/75s for my S-10 and got stuck. Bought the goodyears, went through the same hole and came out the other side :D
