Challenge to you all...

I'm playing with the idea of running my cell phone thru' the factory head unit so that I can hear the cell phone better and have "conference calls" out in the field.

What I figure is that I use the output jack/aux jack, the one that normally takes some type of aftermarket headset, and run wires into the stereo thru' the aux imput option.

The big trick as I see it is how to get the mic to run back and forth. I'd like some kind of boom mic that came down from the headliner or center overhead console ?

I know this is a little out there but I'm sure someone will respond to the challenge.

Do an internet search for companies that install car alarms, stereos, and custom 12vdc accessories.

I have seen one somewhere, just can't remember. These types of companies have pre-made interfaces and such for what you are trying to do.

Had all this stuff bookmarked but then upgraded my PC and lost a few things.

Ya' know...like my brain.
