I KEEP SEEING FOG LIGHTS MOUNTED IN THE AIR HOLES IN THE FRONT BUMPER..
I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS IS NOT GOOD AND CUTS OFF THE AIR FLOW.....I AGREE, I THINK..
BUT I KEEP SEEING DIFFERENT TRUCKS WITH THEM!!
WHATS UP????? IS IT REALLY BAD OR NOT...
THEY DO LOOK GOOD, BUT ???

The fog lights are an option, and come as part of the higher level trim packages.
If you don't get the fog lamps, the holes are left open. I don't think they are meant to provide air flow (what is that low down on the vehicle that needs air?)

98 and newer tahoes have the same bumber as the diesels but incorporate fog lights.. it is not a good idead in a 6.5L equipped truck to put light in the bumper as there are air deflectors to redirect extra air over the motor and tranny coolers... if you look up in the hole you will see the coolers....

I do remember seeing a couple Tahoes with the diesel bumper.. and lights. I did not know they put them on nondiesel trucks.
