Gauge light power ??

I just installed gauges on my 04 and would like to know where I should tap into the inst pnl lights ?

I tap into the output wire from the IPC dimmer switch. not sure what color it is, but you should be able to find it w/ a voltmeter. read the voltage of individual wires one @ a time while operating the dimmer. which ever gradually changes is the one you want. this way your gauges will dim w/ your IPC, HVAC, and entertainment illumination lamps.

There is a fuse in the fuse panel that is for " Dimmed " power,

I think it is labled " Panel Lights"

A piggy back fuse here will give you a " TAP " for additional dimmed panel lights/

When I hooked up the brake controller on my 2005, there was an extra wire on the brake controller harness marked for "illumination". It may be a good source without having to tap into another wire or piggyback on a fuse.
