LED Light Reports

Looking for some feed back from those of you who have replaced OE lights with LED. Previous posts indicate brake lights have been changed. Are there other lights on our trucks we can change out? I'm looking for a good brand and place to buy them. Do they simply plug-in and replace the factory bulb? Any other components have to be changed when we install LED? Thanks in advance.

Dawg,

First off, do not buy APC brand LED's. They will not work. They will only burn out fuses.

I use JamStrait HR's.

They are "Wedge Base".

I like them. They have a much quicker response than incandescent bulbs and add a richer color.

Yes, they plug right in.
You will need the load modifier. I would contact them for more specific info. Theses bulbs use so little power that your flasher runs too fast.

Hoot, Who did you order your LED lights from?

The place I ordered from was called http://www.hot-fit.com but that link no longer exists or on the Jam Strait list of vendors. Go to the Jam Strait site and get a dealer from there. Jam Strait is a Christian company. Very pleasant to deal with.
