Turn signal mirrors

Does GM make side mirrors with turn signals included in them. Will any other year fit? If so, please give part #'s and any info to make them fit. Thanks. These are for a 2002 GMC 3500.

Yes GM make signal mirrors but no, they are not interchangable with your mirrors. 2003 and later trucks have multiplexed wiring harnesses, so mirrors made for those vehicles are not compatable with earlier models.

You can get them aftermarket, you just have to add the extra wire.

I know I've seen replacement mirrors for '99 up models. You replace your mirrors (just the mirror itself) with the signal mirrors and run the wire through the door harness to a turn signal wire. Google on signal mirrors and you should be able to find them. I found them a bit pricey for 10 worth of materials. (IMHO of course.)
