I was already to order a pair of Westin wheel to wheel step bars, when I found they don't make them for the longbed. I really like the Westin design, as I am often trying (key here) to reach into the bed. The only other brand I see that is similiar, is the two piece smittybuilt. Are these a "quality" set up? any first hand experience with thier products, mounts?

Nice site, been lurking for a while.

Mark,

John Kennedy has them via~ running boards and I have them as SS tubes. ICI Brand. I think they make a pretty good product. What I like about the bars is the setup. The bars are mounted in "4" places. The rear mount uses the fender bracket and an "extra" hole. I have had a 450lb man jump on the passenger side and it just flexed and returned. I really thought it would bend or break, but it didn't. I'm built LTG (low to the ground) and need the bar to get tools out of my truck... which seems to be too much lately. Anyway, the bars have a lifetime warranty. I'm happy with my GoRhino bars.

I have the Rhino Wheel to Wheel bars on my Ext LB and would recommend them to anyone looking for this type of step. They are one very long unit and bolt to the frame with no cutting or drilling. I have been very happy with them so far.

Most of these stepbars are similar. However, if the bar jets out from the cab and has not been supported at the end it could easily get damaged. Take a pencil and hold it at both ends and place a 1lb weight on one end. Now take that same pencil and hold it from

I ordered the N-Fabs. I made a couple calls to several manufacturers concerning some details. N-Fab won me over by the fact the person answering the phone had product knowledge, and appeared sincere in wanting my business. Hopefully they won't be out of place on my 4x2. Thanks for all the experiences.
