When I had my PSD, there was an electronic device that wired into the turbo somehow that monitored the temperature. When you shutdown the motor you could remove the key walkaway and lock the doors. This device would keep the motor idling until the turbo temp dropped to 300 degrees and then shut it down. However, if the brake pedal was dpresses (like you need to when taking the tranny out of PARK) it shuts down immediately.

Has anyone know of one of these devices for the DMax ???????????

That is called a Turbo Temp Monitor (TTM) you can get them at www.dieselpage.com last I checked. I would imagine that they will work on a Duramax.

I have a TTM on my Dmax. Got it at Speedlab in Albuquerque 505-830-0944. They did a great job with all my mod's and it works like a charm. If you have any questions just let me know. TSimpler@direcpc.com
