View Full Version : JK Headlight harness question

John,

Strange event tonight. Drove to dinner lights were fine. Left restaurant -- no lights, high or low beam -- all others ok. Used my PIAA aux lights to head home and halfway there the headlights come back on.

Really wierd, any ideas as to the cause and possible fix?

No big deal. Been there done that. Check your ground.

Check grounds, and also check to see if the fusible link between the alternator and the relays failed or has become damaged.

Checked everything else, no problems. I will check the fusable links tomorrow. The lights continue to work fine at the moment.

It turned out to be a bad OEM switch. Somehow got stuck between lights on an lights off position. I sure did a lot of wiring chasing before I had the dealer check the OEM parts !!!!! :mad:
