I have been looking into the Webasto TSL-17 and the Espar H5 for my duramax and a couple other trucks I own. Does any body have any feed back on the differences of these two units? I know some here run the Espar and I would love to read what you like and don't like about the unit. Any info on the Webasto would be great as well.

I would go with the Espar. I have talked with a few local trucking companys that have only had problems with their webastos. I've had my Espar for 10 months on the Dmax.
I have had my Webasto for almost a year and it has worked flawlessly.

I have had the Espar for two winters . And it has worked great ! Only problem I had was a code that said glow plug or wiring . Thought it was the glow plug so ordered one . Took unit apart to replace it and the wire was loose on the glow plug. So now I have an extra plug when it does burn out. :D
I've scheduled a Webasto install for next month. This is a very high quality product from Germany and I believe the installers wire it up so that the blower (even on the 2003 with climate control) comes on and heats the cabin. A bonus that isn't obvious from their web site is that if you also buy the optional remote, there is a separate blower-on button that could be used to circulate the hot air out in the summer so the vehicle is a lot cooler when you enter it.
I was keen on Espar and when I talked to them last fall I was told they would likely have a model available this fall for the 2003's with climate control but for now I could just go with pre-heating the engine. Right. Nice solution. I waited the year only to find they didn't bother developing that one due to cut-backs so on with the Webasto BlueHeat solution.
I believe the model is a 5000312B.
