Any ideas to get a mirror that extends further and are taller for a 03 Silverado? We have the stock power extend, heated, rv mirrors and we cannot see down the side of our 5th wheel rv. The rv is 100" wide and we can see the front few feet of sides but cannot see down the whole side which I think is a naccesity. Also seems to me mirrors glass is not tall enough to get a good view low and high, our rig is 13 feet tall and it is hard to see for clearance with out slowing enough to have time to move mirror which is not fun when I am suppose to be driving. We do have a small blind spot mirror but any larger and it would cover the directional arrow in the mirror and it still is not far enough out to see complete side of rv. I see the Dodges on the highway with the stock mirrors that flip up to make them both extended and taller and wonder if anyone has an experience with them. I have driven the Fords for work and there mirrors seemed nice, extend far and tall to see high and low. Anyone know if either can be fit nicely to the Chev? Or any ideas? Bought some strap on extend a mirrors at garge sale, have not towed with them yet and they do not address the height issue. Kinda bummed, we thought WOW what great mirrors when we bought truck, but after 5000 miles of towing 36 foot 100 inch wide rv I wish for more in the mirror department. Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance

Tiptoptune,

Welcome to TDP forums. Check the first post in this forum for More Power's TTT mirror review. SCHEFENACKER'S WEBSITE (http://www.ttt-mirror.com) has additional information.

The ttt mirrrors extend out further than the CIPA MIRRORS (http://www.cipamirrors.com/towing.htm) pictured below. The Cipa mirrors are the same as the Lucerix X-Mount mirrors. IIRC, Lucerix is no longer marketing the X-mount mirrors.

Tiptoptune,

I tried everything available that I could find and the TTT mirrors are the best on the market. They still won't let you see completely down the side on the passenger side but the drivers side is pretty good. I have a 8'6'' trailer 38 ft long. Just can't watch the tires on the trailer unless you turn slightly. The low to high part isn't bad but if set to see the bottom you still cannot see the roof. With these extended, you still have to watch others as I touched mirrors with a ford that had his extended. Scared me half to death but didn't do any damage, just a loud whack. Good luck!
