DMAXdiva,

I really like the look of your truck,   would you comment on the ride, the kit used, is it reversible, tire size, shocks, etc.? Anything you wish you'd done different?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi there 2_DA_Max:

Haven't been on the forum in a few days, sorry I missed your post. I have the ProComp 6 inch lift with the front triple-shock setup (don't have pics of that yet). Tires are Super Swamper SSR 37x12.5/16's; yes, they make some noise due to the aggressive tread, but I actually like that (yes, I'm wierd, but that's certainly been established already! ). The lift has effectively changed the gear ratio from 3.73 to about a 3.10 which has definately affected performance (plus the rolling mass of those 37's doesn't help!), but the Hot Juice makes up for that. I'm currently running 16x8 rims, but plan to go with 17x10 Weld Mountain Crushers as soon as this set of tires wears out. I'm thinking about going with 36's or even maybe 35's next time...haven't yet decided.

As far as ride goes, yes the ride is somewhat stiffer with the triples up front, but not intolerable. I really like the ride, and the truck handles very much like it did pre-lift with the obvious exception of cornering; gotta be careful there with the way-high center of gravity now, but I've never worried about tumping it over, just gotta watch those curves a little closer now. And I will say that this truck draws a LOT of attention wherever I go...I just love to see the look on everyone's face when I pop down out of it..."what, a GIRL drives this?" ;)

Oh, and check out the new pics of my latest two-wheeled acquisition; a new Big Dog Chopper...me LIKEY! :D

DMAXDiva,

Thanks for your response and details, I appreciate it greatly! I was happy to get the link to your pics as I couldn't locate it without the member directory link that I haven't been able to find since TDP had it's recent server problems.

Do you happen to know if the ProComp lift is reversible?

You must be a lot like my daughter because these comments remind me of her:

Your toys should cause Shania Twain to add another verse to her third song on her "UP" album, "She's Not Just A Pretty Face." tongue.gif tongue.gif If you haven't heard it, check it out cause the point is that you and my daughter or any other wowman can be whatever they are or want to be. My hats off to you!! Thanks again!!!

Where did you get the paint to paint your gauge pod DMAXDIVA?

2_DA_Max:

Sounds like you've done a wonderful job in raising your daughter; I fully credit my own dear old dad for instilling such a powerful sense of independence within me which has served me quite well over the years!

As far as the reversability issue with the ProComp, I don't think it is reversible. If it is, I can tell you that I'll never be doing that, since I sold or scrapped all the old parts anyway.

Premier:

I had the guages installed at Diesel injection Services in Lubbock back last year, and they did the paintwork...don't know where they got the paint.
