View Full Version : Need to find Aux/Switched power for XM Radio

Anyone know where I might easily find Switched/Auxillary power for hooking up and XM Radio on a 03 GMC Sierra with 6 cd changer and buckets

Permx11...All you need to do is find a constatnt power in your fuse box. I dont know what set up you use for XM. If I rememeber correctly I hooked into a power lock fuse that is always powered. The setup I have for XM, the reciver for XM always needs power, because if you dont it takes a while for it to get signal and set up and then you need to find your favorite station on it, but thats my setup I dont know about yours. I will tell you though that since Ive gotten XM I havent listened to the radio since.....Its Awsome

The best way I have found to get power is to use an add a circuit from Autozone for about $6. The panel on the left of the columb is mini. You can use Ign 0 or 1 for switched power. There are also several that are constant. Cheap, easy and removable. :D

By the way its a Pioneer XM fm modulated receiver, that needs power and switched power.
