 I love the smile.gif BFGs I have but the load range E Nitto 305s would work better for me but I know nothing about the Nittos. Who has experience with Nitto tires? Towing and off road?

Got'em in 305's, mounted on 16x8. Only have two weeks on them........ I'll let ya know. The rear "really" wear out fast. ;) I found out "after" I mounted my tires that my ATLAS, American Racing rims, are only rated for 3,100 lbs. Go figure? The tires have a lot more flex than a 265E, a lot more. What is odd is that they seem to be better rounded, they ride better on the Hwy. It's not the ballance, it's the tire. So far I'm pleased but it looks like their going to wear like the BFG's, fast at first( 40%) and then slow wayyyy down.

I have Nitto 305 E's on 16 x 8 Weld outback with about 14,000 miles on them. This is the sixth set of tires on my truck, and by far, the best wearing and strongest. I went to them because of the E rating. Good ride, decent handling on and off road (not a extreme mud tire), and at 14,000 miles they are about 45% tread left. I have towed with them very heavy (9500 lbs on rear axle) and have run them off road quite a bit in 4X4. I am going to go to 19.5 because I want a heavier casing and a narrower tire that will wear over 50,000 miles. Nitto has been the best 16" tire I have found. As soon as my 19.5's arrive, I will sell my Weld outbacks and the Nitto's.

Nitto's are by far the bst wear of the two. I run 305 on 16x10 Weld Volocity XT. Excellent tire!!!

I decided to keep them and am glad I did because after 3-4K miles they got alot better. 75% of the crazy sidewall flex is gone, the handling is much better. I've got about 10K on the tires now and they are doing great (I need to rotate them though redface.gif ).

Buck,

Toyo builds the Terra-Grappler for Nitto. They have plenty of experience with heavy load rating tires.

I have the nitto 265/75/16 load range E , they have been on the truck for four months with no problems towing or handling and they don't make alot of noise I think they are a good tire just my .02 cents
