DTC 33 and 44

I am getting these codes all the time can anyone help to correct the problem. I just had the pump changed and with it came these codes.

#33 is the EGR circut low vacuum. Maybe a loose or broken vacuum line.

#34 is a timing code for the Injection Pump. To change the timing or reset it you need a Tech II reader. Sometimes if the pump isn't put back exactly where it was when removed the built in "fudge factor" or wear limits can't be seen by the electronics.

A Tech II can reset this without even moving the pump.

Sorry I read the post wrong.

#44 is also an EGR circut. You still might have a vacuum leak but could also be a bad solenoid. With the truck running pull the vacuum line off the middle solenoid on the tree,driver's side. You really need about 20" of vacuum or a good "hiss". These do fail over time with heat.

I did what you said with the vacuum and found the electrical connector had a broken wire. I will replace and check again to see if this works.
