Does anybody know if there is a fuse that controls the temperature and compass display? After driving through some rain swollen streets a while back my is no longer working. I couldn't find a fuse that was blown but I thought it may be somewhere besides the panel by the drivers door and the one under the hood.

My 2003 Helm Manual shows that the mirror/compass is powered from a 15A fuse labeled "SIR" (Self Inflating Restraint system. It also powers that system.) and is located in the underhood fuse panel.

Just happened to have a book mark on this page since I tapped into this power source for my Smartire Pressure monitoring system that I mounted in the overhead console. If you want to see if you're getting power up there, it's the yellow wire. Hot in Run and Start. To remove the overhead console: Remove the phillips head screw at the windshield end of the console. Pull down slighty at the front in order to get your fingers in there. Slide your fingers to the rear and pull down firmly. Towards the rear of the console there are two plastic fingers that snap up into metal clips.

Good luck.
Geo.
