Timing chain slack.

My Truck has just hit 241000 miles. No problems. But I am woundering how much slack my timing chain might have. I want to upgrade to the gears but want to wait as long as possibile. Has anyone ever had a 6.2 or 6.5 jump time. I will be making about 10 600 mile round trips for work over the next 3 months pulling about 10000 lbs and don't need any trouble. I plan on ordering the cooling upgrade and the fsd cooler.

IIRC,

I read somewhere that at the max limit allowable for strech, you valves and injection event could be upto 4 degrees late.
