Good warning. I've seen big warning stickers at the gas pumps for several years now warning against filling containers in the bed.

Even without a bed liner, I would still recommend placing the container on the ground for good measure.

Thats talking about drop in liners, but I'm sure the same goes for spray in. Anyways, I'll always fill mine on the ground, as its the only way I've ever done it.

The attendants get a little upset when I fill diesel containers in the back of my truck, I just tell them to look up the difference between flammable and combustible and get back to me.
