I purchased a SPA 211 to install in my 3500. I want to put the single gauge in the overhead console where the blank plate for the rear A/C controls is. Has someone done this? Where do you run the wires?

Thanks for the help.

Who is handling SPA stuff now? The place where I got mine no longer carries them and I need a thermocouple.

hogbreath,

My SPA DG-111 is mounted in the cubby below the center A/C vent, where some have the airbag disable switch (the airbag switch is not present in the crew cabs). IIRC, MGM was one of the first to use this location for gauges...

A few forum members have mounted gauges in the overhead console. Recent posts have described this install with the Dakota Digital gauges, and it looks great. Try searching the forums for 'overhead console' , 'Dakota Digital', and other variations - I'm sure you will find many posts to keep you reading for a while...

Thanks for the help I'll try the search function. WJ's performance carries the gauges and alot more at discount prices.

I mounted my 2 VDO gauges in the overhead console. I made angle rings out of 1 1/2" pvc. I rotated the gauges 1/4 turn clockwise so out of the corner of my eye I can see the needles in the operating ranges.
