Programming Homelink

For anyone who has installed the universal homelink in the overhead console. Came across one and installed it. How do I program it. Thanks

I went and read the instructions on the site, that's the first time I've seen a mfr discuss the missing part of the procedure: programming your garage door opener to accept the signal from your new transmitter.

I did the wife's BMW and no mention was made of it, I just happened to remember that it was necessary.

My buddy just got an Escalade and he doesn't recall any mention of having to program the receiver either. It will sure make you think you did something wrong, at first!
