H2 wheels and tires part 1

8 turns laters, got the H2's with the 315's on. Very, very slight rubbing at certain times. Picking up mickeys tomorrow. Will have them on with the rcd kit hopefully this weekend.

Great pictures! That level of detail is very helpfull. Which "Mickey's" size, backspace, model name are you going to use. Which backspace will work out better the stock 4 3/4 or the H2 5 1/2 or ? / ? on a mildly lifted, maybe only using a key change, Green key # 15592573. BTW, great Photoshop work!

Have you had it aligned yet ? Any problems with CV angles ? This looks good, I have replacement keys on my 03 GMC HD and am now looking at doing the same thing. My bumper should be easy to do, since it is all plastic. Please keep us posted. Are those the aluminum wheels ?

mfontana- mickeys are 17x9 5"rs classic 2 and are being installed as I type. Will have photos up this evening. I think losing 1/2" on the rear spacing on the mickeys will look nice. The H2's are nice but seem to be in a bit more than I'd like as far as sticking in on the body line.

Sliver-I believe there is. I have the 65watts (high beam) bulb installed in the low beams. Minor dremel work to the bulb is all I did to make it fit. Much brighter and clearer (whiter) than the factory.

mfontana-Not off hand, I'll see if I can hunt down the number for you.

ski-Not yet. I have a 6" rcd kit going on most likely next weekend and plan to have it done after that. I did the normal bumper trim as well as some inner fender well trimming in the front. Have put about 300-400 miles on the H2 setup now and have minimal tire rubbing. I still have to tie back the brake cable which should take care of most of it. With losing 1/2" on the rear spacing with the mickey's, I assume I will have a little more rubbing.

M/T wheels look good. have more questions if you don;t mind. I am really interested in your set up, although I have a 4WD I am looking serisouly at the 315/70R17 setup.

What was the difference in height after cranking your T-bars ?

After you tied up the brake cable can you tell where you are rubbing on the fender liners (I am looking at the H2 wheels like you had on) ?

When you turn the wheels to lock in either direction or while going over curbs is there rubbing you could fix ?

How close to other suspension components are the tires whiel turning ?

Are you going to the 6 inch lift for looks or eliminate rubbing ?

Sorry for the late post. Just got back into town from a business trip.

I ended up putting one more turn in them for a total of 9 turns. As for the difference, it seems to be about 2 to 2.25 higher. As for the ride, it seems to be slightly stiffer (bumps seem slightly sharper) but feels more like a truck to me than a Cadillac. I had a 96 ext cab 1500 with a 6

Elowe65: Are those the stock Chevy center caps and lug nuts you are using in the M/T Classic II's

mfontana: Yes, the center caps and lug nuts are the factory from the PYO wheels.

Cut the stands off the rear of the center caps as well as sanded the rear down a bit to get more bite on the lug nuts with the cap.
