View Full Version : Zaino Products
I am about to order these products that seem to have universal high regard. Anyone have any down side? It does seem that you have to go through a series of steps to get to the result. Is all this worth the effort?
Just did mine this weekend. The only draw back is the amount of time you have to wait between coats of polish. 24 hours if temp is below 70 degrees, and 6 hours if above. Because it was only high 50's this weekend, it took me all weekend just to get two coats on. Other than that the end result is worth it!!
Good Luck

APR2000,
I'll bite, what is a zaino product? Should probably know but don't (isn't the first time for that).
Thanks,
Bob
The Zaino brothers make a line of auto "polishes" (not waxes). Everyone who uses them claim they are the best thing ever invented since porno. I haven't seen a vehicle with these on yet. Their website is www.zainobros.com.

Zaino Bros. seems to have really good polishes, clay bar, etc. I use them and love the results. I can wash and wax the entire CC SB truck in about 45min and the results are spectacular. It seems to stay clean longer, maybe the dirt can't stick too well. I've got 9,000 mi and only washed the truck twice, waxed it both times. It looks freshly washed/waxed (grey is pretty forgiving.)
To see what it did to a swirl-marked paint job, paste this: http://www.pbase.com/sfrakes/bmw_750il
It's supposedly engineered to make the clear coat transparent and enhance the depth of the paint with successive coats. The reflection and depth on dark cars is impressive, the metallic on my truck looks very deep.
Goes on quick, wipes off with NO dust, IIRC won't leave residue on textured plastic parts.
Regards, Steve
I havn't used it yet, but the ZFX accelerator will cut down the dry time considerably. Mix a small amount with the polish and dries within minutes. Now you can get that multiple coat shine in one day. Now that I have installed the GMC chrome moldings I am ready to try some coats of the stuff. I am also trying their leather stuff too.

Ditto to the above replies. I went through all the steps including the claybar. Results were nothing short of amazing, and I have a white truck!

I's smarter now. I'll give them a try. Been a Zimol guy for a long time. This sounds good too.

I found their site to be confusing ~ lots of different products w/many seemingly doing the same thing. How to make a selection? ~ odoh
Odoh, you're right about the confusing site. The best think about it is that they give a phone number to contact them.
odoh- Look at the application tips/instructions on the website, it will give you a better idea what you might want to get or need to get.

I use the Zaino products, and by far out shine anything else I've used. I have a black truck and if you have ever owned a dark colored vehicle you no the importance of a good Quality polish. I have been complimented over and over how shiny my truck is. After a wash I use there Z-6 gloss enhancer gives it a great wet look. I'm telling you it is the slipperiest stuff know to man kind, I seen a fly crash upon landing on my hood.........LOL
Good stuff... The only downside they don't take credit cards. Got to send a check. There pretty good about it after you have bought a few times. A little history I was told these guys got started selling there products in English Town, NJ at the race track and car shows..... A friend of mine brought some home from there in 98 been hooked every sense....

Oh yeah, time to fire this topic up again.
I used the Zaino products today on my 2 week old red truck and man oh man, does it LOOK good.
I followed the instructions that you get with the products and also read the tips on the Zaino web page.
I only put 2 coats of polish, would have been nice to get 2 more, but the day is gone and the weekend over now. Should have started earlier today and started on Sat and would have been no problem getting 4 finish coats on.
This is very easy to use guys and I tell you, you will love the results.
(will do on my wifes white Odyssey next weekend, but with her help!!! ;) )

I took a few quick snapshots of my truck after being Zaino'd last night. They give you an idea of how much shine Zaino adds to the paint. Link is in my signature.
