Picked up my TTT mirrors today, they had them instock! Chrome front covers too! Love the mirrors, they fit as if they had been there from the start.(Take a hint GM!) I noticed that the stock black covers that came on them out of the box are a little different than the chrome ones. Down by the arms the cover isn't the same shape. It's as if the chrome covers are the old style that had the whistle problem. Can anybody help me with this. I should be able to finish up tomorrow night with the marker lights. I have to say the instruction book is well written and easy to follow.

Almost forgot, as I had the door panel off to run the wire, I had to remove the front door speakers. As Arnold would say, "those are some GIRLY MAN speakers that GM put in my truck. One would think for $40,000.00 you could get better equipment!

The non-whistle covers are wavy along one edge. The whistlers were straight. Sounds like you got a pair of both.

Ok! New and improved design chrome covers are on the way. Local shop didn't have any of these, they didn't even have a part No. They made one call and Schefenacker is sending them out.

Shopman, could you possibly take a measurement from mirror tip to tip with them in? I am thinking of replacing my Lucerix with a set of those, but I want to make sure they will fit in my 9' garage door. Thanks.

I came up with 103 1/8th inches. That's from marker light to maker light. I suppose you might save a whole half inch if you get the non marker light model. Sounds like they should work, just hug the driver side as you come though the door.

That was fast, thanks. If you get a chance shoot me an e-mail @ coastdarrell@techline.com.
motovet,
I can fit through my 9' garage door but not with much room to spare. I always just fold the drivers mirror in to give me a little extra security.
I had the Lucerix's on my truck prior the TTT's. Busted the mirror all to heck on the garage door frame on morning and couldn't get any replacment parts unless I ordered a complete replacemnt set of mirrors. The TTT's are much better than the Lucerix's. They extend out farther and just built a whole lot better.

Mirror installation is now complete. Does anybody know what to tork the nuts down to? It doesn't say in the instructions.
