Hi guys, i'm trying to decide wich of these hummer's size will fit on my truck, first choice 265-70-17 or second 305-70-17 without a lift, i could get either one for a good price, wheels and tires, thank you for your help.

been running 265/70-17 michelins (take offs from ford and dodge late-models) on h2 rims with pyo caps since last fall.

they ride and brake and grip great in all conditions. probably better tires out there, certainly wider ones, but they were a big improvement over bent stockers.

i've run the 33x12.5-17's on h2's on my 2003 and they grip great in the mud and snow. probably a bit much for a c/k though

i think goodyear and goddrich make a 285-17 too but they are pricey

On my 1999 K1500 Suburban, the 265-70-17's are as big as I could go without modifications. Even then, I get a slight rub when fully turned under the right conditions (a little bounce when the wheel is fully turned) - but it's only happened a handfull of times in the 40K miles I've put on them.

Thank you guys, i tought about those tires too,so i guess i'll go with the 265 70 17, any way the wheels on my truck are rusted and my michelin tires were stabbed, so either way it's going to look nice, any difference on gas mileage?

haven't paid any attention. i would guess they might hurt a bit once speedo/odo is corrected because of the extra resistance.

Fuel mileage for me is pretty much the same. You won't be able to get the odometer/speedometer exact with this setup - but IIRC, I'm within 1%. Close enough that I don't factor it into my fuel mileage calculations anymore - but I used to.....

I'll have to calculate the error again on the way home tonight. I'll travel 25 miles on the interstate using the mile markers to see what my error is...

After checking the odometer again to refresh my memory, I am reading 1% low - which was as close as I could get. I think the next jump up made the readings about 2% high (but I don't remember exactly). So, at my current setting, every 10 miles registers at 9.9 on my odometer.

My Speedometer is always within 1 mph for the speeds that I drive......

Has anyone put these on a 2WD Sub with 265/70 17's?
If so, any clearance problems?

I put the hummer wheels with 265/70/17E Pirelli scorpion tires on my Savana 3500, and they sometimes rub a little in the front when I brake and turn at the same time. If that can help.
