Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped out with problems I had with my 94 6.5. I decided to get a new 2004 GMC SLT 2500 HD Extended cab with the Vortec 6000. It should be here on Monday

I just bought a 6.0 gasser as well. Won't outpull my 6.5s, but hopefully will be a little more trouble free under the hood.

Did you trade your truck?

Yes I did, they gave me $13,700 trade in allowance, not bad considering I paid $14,700 2 1/2 years ago.

That is an excellent price for a 1994. Shows that the Duramax demand is pulling up the values of 6.5s as well.

I heard a story last night of a local farmer with a 2002 Duramax, 40K miles that traded it in for a new 2004 and only paid 5K cash on top of his clean trade. Amazing!
