Alternator

I have a 6.5td and have many accesroies running form my batteries. I have 2 stereo amps and Flat bed lights auxilary driving lights and red "whore" lights. The Amp that powers my 2subwoofers has a digital amp disply it read 14.3/.4 with nothing on and with every thing else on plus lights and heater it drops to 12.7 and this is the power the amp is recieving at the display. Is there anybody who know of a higher amp rated alternator. Come to thing of it Ambulances have 2 alternaters any way I could rig something like that up to my pickup

I believe that there are two factory alternators for this truck. One is rated for 90 amps, the other about 112 amps. This and two batteries should be plenty of juice. I believe that your problem is in the connections. Check all of your grounding wires and connections, then check evrything else as needed.

The dual alternator option may well be available for your vehicle--dealer can advise given VIN.

You can price a larger output at summit racing. i believe powermaster makes a larger alt. for that truck. might be cheaper than going to the dual which they do make for your truck
