Whose got the best cold weather front for the 01-02 Chevy HD's?
Don't really like the look of the stainless ones...

Only the Dmax equipped trucks come with the winter front.

I am sorry, you are correct. I was just thinking diesel but it should fasten the same.

I have the Lund plastic. It works well out of the box if you don't want to take it on and off a bunch. In Tx, that's not happening. I modified mine for quick removal and install. I wire tied the clips to the grill and cut the screws down so I didn't have to turn all day. Works well now and I can adjust the opening quickly as required. The black does not add or detract from the truck. When it's dirty like the rest of it, you don't even notice it. :D For the price, you can't beat it.

Sorry, didn't read your sig. I guess you wouldn't get one with the 8.1. May I ask why you feel you need one. I would think the 8.1 should heat up just fine without a winter front. IMHO, I would be afraid of overheating if you forget to remove it on a warmer day and don't drive with one eye on the temp needle. :eek:
