I had taken off the egr and found it plugged . I removed the top of the intake ( also plugged) and cleaned it also.
It now hesitates at low speed. It runs fine at high speed or when I give it lots of throttle.

I broke the hose that runs from the solenoid to the EGR and can't seem to find a replacement even at the dealer

On my 1994 i just disconnected the EGR hose and plugged it with a sheet metal screw. Check your EGR vavle and ensure it is staying closed when it is supposed to be. Otherwise, you can disconnect it and run without it. It will not set a code on the 1994's.
