The arm of my garage door opener left a down to the metal racing stripe in the front center of my hood ! I'm looking for opinions on the slickest looking bug shield for an 03 GMC. My touch-up job just wont cut it !

Toddster:
Driver Design, hands down, don't even bother looking elsewhere. It's by far the nicest one I've seen. Sticks out enought to get behind it and wash, matches the hood lines to a "T". At least you filled the groove with some paint, prevent the rust from starting. Good Luck!
Don't feel bad, the garage door came down on my roof, only it didn't do any damage luckily.

Thanx ATU, do you have a web site for Driver design ? Hey, whatcha got for Yami's ?
Ouch..I know that hurts! :( I've been looking at bug deflectors for my '03 as well. GM makes a nice looking OEM deflector, that they claim has no wind noise. The thing I don't like about it is its so close to the hood that it would be hard to wash behind. I've seen some Centurian Conversion trucks that have a very nice painted (to match the truck) deflector. Wish I knew the brand, as its much easier to wash behind, and I really like having the deflector match the truck. I'll post if I find it.

Driver design allows you to wash behind, and has zero wind noise, no drill application. sleek and low pro looking.
I have three Yami's,
1999 SX-r 700, V-Force,race ported,Hauch Hushers,Overdrive kit,I-cam,192 new ones, new track, can't get it to run for S**T. 2100 miles
2001 SXR 700 (wife's) 210 miles, Hauck Hushers/clutch kit, it rocks! 144 new studs
Looks like brand new in and out!
2000 SXR 600 Twin, mild porting back up sled.
:D
I've got this thing call a --------- 3-D Carbon Fiber Look...........Works really well. You can wash behind it and there are no holes to drill. :D
They are made in Austraila.... I think?

Todd, you saw the one on my truck so you know how the GM one looks. The nice thing is mine cracked and I just went to the dealer and they gave me a new one free.

Toddster,
I installed a Deflecta-shield Magnum on my 03 GMC and it looks great. 5 minute non-drill install. It will cover that little boo-boo.
Here is a link to some pic's: http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=1745359&uid=946399&members=1
Good luck! :D
got mine from good old walmart, works good, 5 minute install, little extra wind noise, 60 cdn dollars
Toddster...just movin' this up to see what you ended up with for a deflector. I looked at the Driver Design, but am not sure about the metal brackets. They sit right on the bottom lip of the hood, and would seem to rub the paint off over time. The Lund Intercepter and Deflecta-Shield look to be pretty good. But I'm still looking... :D
