I broke the glass for the mirror for the drivers side. (Two trucks on a norrow road just don't fit)Can just the glass be replaced or do I need to get the whole thing? The ones on my truck are heated with the turn signal arrow. The ones that fold in not the extendable ones. If anyone can give me the part numbers too, that would be great.

When I bought my 03 I asked them if I broke a mirror if it was just the glass or whole assembly, they told me it was the whole assembly.

I asked because on my 01 Tahoe, someone borrowed the truck and took out a mailbox. It cost near $300 for the new assembly and painted to match via the dealer.

My .02.

Xmas1; Not to sure about replacement glass for 03 but positive it is available for earlier years. I had the same problem trying to find glass for 01. You need to GENTLY remind your parts guy that they probably are available. Well, that didn't work for me either, so I went to another dealer. Non-heated glass was around $42.00.

I installed the heated glass without the turn signal. (Cost was $40.00)The dealer couldn't find the exact part number for the correct one. This will have to due until I can find the correct part. Does anyone know what the liquid is that's inside the mirror? Antifreeze or what?

Tophog - I'm interested if the price is right, I'll email you.
