Any tips?

I don't like the factory stickers.

I know it's 4 wheel drive, I don't need to look at the rear of my bed to be assured.

I have a December '03 build date, so paint has definately cured.

Hair dryer and good finger nails?

Should they just peel off in one piece?

Thanks Tractor!

Good tip on NOT using Mom's hair dryer!

Always seemed that houshold appliances never return back to their original condition after "Garage" duty!

I've de-badged 3 trucks now. The 4x4 comes off very easy. Light amount of heat helps. They pretty much come off in one piece. 3M adhesive remover if necessary for any residue left on the truck. The other badges come off pretty easy also.

A heat gun works best for all exterior stick ons except the 4X4 one. The household appliance works better on these cause they are so thin... not much heat needed to get them off. Should get a heat gun for the rest if you plan on removing anymore. Only the Duramax badges are left original on mine.

I removed the tailgate emblems and 4x4 stickers this weekend. No heat needed. The 4x4 stickers came right off (in many pieces) and the emblems were pryed off with a putty knife w/ the blade wrapped in a towel.

I used 3M adhesive remover for the left overs from the emblems. None needed for the 4x4 stickers.

A hair dryer worked on mine for one side. The other side was in the sun and came off without the use of the hair dryer. Both came off in one peice for me.
